Undergraduate Programs

The department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science offers the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with majors in Environmental Science and in Sustainable Plant Systems.  Both of these programs provide a rigorous science-based curriculum resulting in well-trained students with many career options. Well qualified students in the Bachelor of Environmental Science, BSES, can earn a Master of Science, MS, in Soil, Water and Environmental Science in only one additional year through our Accelerated Master’s Program, AMP.  The BSES is also a corresponding degree to students interested in the Accelerated Master's Program in Atmospheric Science.

Students transferring from Pima Community College should should follow the transfer course guidelines for the Environmental Science degree or for the Sustainable Plant Systems degree.

SWES held the fall 2015 undergraduate All Student Assembly on Thursday, September 3rd from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in ENR2 S107.  Dr. Chorover discussed what is planned for this academic year and the SWES undergraduate student's had an opportunity to ask questions.  This was a nice event for students to meet and talk with others in their majors.
