Dr. Ramirez-Andreotta awarded TRI University Challenge

The 2016 TRI University Challenge was awarded to Dr. Monica Ramirez-Andreotta. The project will assess the possible fate and transport of pesticides and other contaminants of concern and whether these chemicals are impacting organic farms in the Southern Arizona.  It is a partnership between Dr. Ramirez-Andreotta, 9 SWES students (7 undergrad, 2 graduate), and US EPA Toxics Release Inventory Program Division at headquarters in DC. The team will have meetings 2/month for a year with the  EPA to complete this project.
